Deployment

My HLP got Desert winds (swapped skullstorm), vengeance, smiting and dissecation (rolled double), my level two rolled banishment and net of amyntok. After long consideration I decided to take net, since it was hex and could be casted while in combat.

He won the first turn

Turn 1 - Warriors of Chaos

Khorne ogres failed frenzy test, ended up in boiling flood (did total 5 wounds to the unit. Overran exactly 12 inch. It was just barely visible to my skeleton block. He did swift reform with the nurgle ogres.

Turn 1 - Cursed Kings

Flank charge to khorne ogres. Swift Reform with knights and little backward movement.

Magic, WoM 5+6 and casket. Capped

- Smiting 3 PD on skeleton warriors

- Light of Death 6 PD, high roll, my opponent decided not to dispel, No damage done to daemon princes.

- Dessication 3 PD to khorne ogres, dispelled.

no shooting

At close combat Herald Nekaph and Scyla went on challenge. Herald managed to do 3 (multipled 6 wounds) and he did 3, but I managed to roll two 5+ ward) I also did extraordinary well with Kings wounding (he had 7 attacks 4+frenzy+smiting + sword of anti heroes) and did 7 wounds. My skeletons on the other hand didn't do a single wound (though it was flank charge so there wasn't enough room for most of the skeletons to fight. Failed to catch the

Turn 2 - Warriors of Chaos

He did double charge to casket with daemon princes. Khorne ogres failed to rally and runned thourgh Venom Thicket. Too bad they were left just barely in the board. Wulfirk came on board.

Naturally those princes nailed casket down, and this picture is little off but my Knights were just barely within the range of the blast and unfortunately knights received 2 wounds from the blast and princes none.

Turn 2 - Cursed Kings

I charged to daemon prince (with chaos armor) and pushed khorne ogres of the board, too bad I rolled 6 on charge range so my warriors were pushed too far. Swarm also came to save the day for me! I managed to place them in such angle that he would touch the table edge before touching my knights on overrun. This picture is off, but in reality this cap much smaller between marauders and rear of the knights and marauders corner was about 2 inches from the rear of the knights if the charge would have being completed.

At magic I got 6+1, and no channels.

- casted 3 pd vengeance on Marauders, which my opponent tried to dispel but failed miserably. ( was it even a 6 DP dispel or something)

- casted 2 pd desert winds and swift reformed my skeleton warrior block. (this actually got a decent argument during the game of the term normal move. We finally concluded that since reform is maneuvre and wheel is maneuvre it would be odd to deny them, similarly it was discussed that if failed charge deny movement during the turn, can desert winds be used after it.)

- Casted 2 pd dissecation on marauders, but that naturally failed.

Horse archers managed to land sinlge wound on ogres.

At knights battle I did really well and landed 2 wounds on the prince. He didn't land a single wound due my rerolalble 6+ armor save and 6+ regeneration from the charnel pit.

Turn 3 - Warriors of Chaos

He passed frenzy test with marauders and didn't want to take long charge with ogres (neede like 11 or something. He charged with another daemon prince to my knights. He also didn't do reform with marauders to face my warrior block, since I was exactly 16 inches way from him and he decided to trust the odds.

At close combat I managed to do another wound on the chaos armor prince (which was left only 1 wound). He did something like... 3 wounds. I didn't crumble since i got rank, standard and -1 for the animated constructs.

Turn 3 - Cursed Kings

I failed the charge with skeleton block ( fortunately rolled one 6 so got longer than I would with normal movement) I made big mistake with my horse archers here. I should have either putted them in gongaline or 1 inch back, since they were exactly 13 inch away from my hierophant.

Magic was again 6+1 no channels

- 2 pd desert winds ( too bad horse archer would have reached to redirect nurgle ogres)

- 5 pd Vengeance on marauders and my opponent tried to dispel it but failed.

At close combat knighst killed chaos armored prince and landed one wound on the remaining daemon prince. His princes did again three wounds. no crumble.I did reform to 3 ranks.

Turn 4 - Warriors of Chaos

His marauders had either reform or charge through swarms taking two times DT. At the charge 9 marauders died, his chaos ogres landed charge, but fortunately it wasn't long charge.

At close combat my swarms managed to kill 3 marauders and when he overran of the board 8 died due dt. Chaos ogres failed miserably delivering wounds and my rerollable 6+ armor and 6+ regeneration saved extremely well. I managed to land 3 wounds on the chaos ogres and one wound on the prince. I still lost the combat, and if my memory serves me correct I lost total 6 wounds (including crumble)

Turn 4 - Cursed Kings

Magic was 5+2 no channels.

- I casted 2 pd desert winds (and with that my hierophant and BSB was at 12 inch range from the knights.

- I triet to cast 2 pd smiting on the knights, but it got dispelled.

- I casted 3 pd dessication on nurgle ogres and it went through.

At close combat I had two knights hitting the ogres, and did total 5 wounds ( we forgot the -1 from the nurgle, but I did atleast 3 poison hits to him) He did 3 wounds to me and we had tie. His ogres failed to do enough damage due my 5+ rerorallable armor save and 6+ regeneration.

Turn 5 - Warriors of Chaos

At close combat now he landed seriously heavy blow to me and I was left only with single wounded banner bearer on board. I did fairly well with the necrosknights, (1 wound to prince, and he was left with only 1 wound)

Turn 5 - Cursed Kings

I charged to marauders.

Magic was 6+6 no channels.

- I casted 3 pd vengeance on ogres, reduced their movement by 3.

- I casted 3 pd smiting on my skeleton unit, which my opponent dispelled with 4 pd.

- I casted 4 pd dissecation on marauders and he tried to dispel it but failed, failed (neede double 6)

- I tried to cast 2 pd net of amyntok on the daemon prince, but it naturally failed.

At close combat prince nailed the last wound from the knight. He didn't reform with ogres. At this combat we had another argument about the rules of Wulfrik. Since it was my turn, I had priority to do challenge first and Wulfrik special rule doesn't allow players to break this basic rule. Too bad I had to sacrifice Nekaph, luckily eye of gods were 7. When my horde spears, with king, frenzy hatred against weakened marauders were finished of the unit there were only champion and banner bearer left to make attacks. And my herald killed the champion and on break the banner was destroyed. I pursuited of the board.

Turn 6 - Warriors of Chaos

He moved the daemon prince.

Turn 6 - Cursed Kings

I though I had nothing that I could cast to that prince, since banishment was only 24 inch range, but at this time when I made this report I realized that banisment could have being upgraded!

At shooting I managed to do single wound on the daemon prince and to keep things very exiting in the end was that he rolled 1 on his first ward save, and since Tzeentch Daemon rerolling it and saved.

Final score was 1796 - 900
