Terrain Analyze:

- 7 forest from random generation. We ran out of forest, so some of them were just one tree from the cital wood set ;) Terrain turned out to be pretty lame, with just direct line of forests.

Deployment

My opponent had three mages.

Demon prince had spells.. I have to admit that even though we played the game today I forgot which spells he had. Especially since lore of slaanesh is rather unknow lore to me. He had atleast Hysterical Frenzy

Left sorceror had Stream of Corruption and Curse of Leper, and right had Plague Wind and Miasma of Pestilence

Arkham had Spirit Leech, The Caress of Laniph, Soulblight, Doom and Darkness and purple sun.

Right sided level 2 had Burning Gaze and Net of Amyntok and left one had Birona and Burning gaze.

Level 4 Light priest had Phas protection, Speed of LIght, Banishment and Shems Burning Gaze.

Turn 1 - Cursed Kings

I made little adjustment with archers so i could get my hierotitan bubble over every model and my level 2 having bonus from arcane ruins.

Magic was almost capped If I remember correctly I got WoM 3 and 4, three from casket and 1 from channel.

- I used 2 pd for casket and tried to nail Daemon Prince. My opponent dispelled it.

- I casted 1 PD shems burning gaze on right sided marauders and killed few models

- I casted 1 PD shems burning gaze on right sided marauders again killed few again and got panic test.

- I casted 2 PD doom and darknesson daemon prince

- I casted 4 PD banishment on daemon prince and my opponent hoped for double 6 dispel. Failed it. I got ten hits, wounded 6 and my opponent managed to dawnstone armor save 5 of them.

At shooting, my arhcers were just barely out of Daemon Prince sight ( he deployed him just half inch from edge. Horse Archers didn't kill anyone.

Turn Analyze:

- I probably should have tried to cast buble pha's in this turn also to help against hellcannons.

Turn 1 - Warriors of Chaos

Movement pretty much as seen. My opponent dispatched his sorceror from right side to better place.

Magic was rather average.

- My opponent casted plague wind on something like 4 dices etc and got IF. He then got artillery dice of 10 and it went through my lines killing only 4 horsemen, and 4 skeleton warriors. I failed LoS with arkhan but he passed the test. Then we got interesting "debate" about charmed shield and since miscast causes str 10 hit, we ruled that he could use charmed shield to ignore it. subsequently my opponent got all of his remaining dices sucked by IF and my Arkhan had 3 dice for next turn.

At shooting, both hell cannons scored direct hit on Hierotitan. First one rolled 1 on to wound and second wounded and did exactly 4 wounds.

Turn 2 - Cursed Kings

No charges. One of my stalkers and one swarm unit got delayed. I decided to concentrate my force to fight the Daemon Prince, so I left the unit with one of my mage.

Magic was capped. Was it WoM 6+1, 3 from Arkhans staff and 3 from casket.

- I tried again 2 PD casket of Souls on prince, but my opponent dispelled it.

- I casted 1 PD spirit Leech from arkhan on prince and I managed to kill the poor bastard with that spell (especially when Doom and Darkness was active)

- I tried 1 PD burning gaze on sorceror, but it got natively failed

- I casted 3 PD banishment on hell cannon 1, got IF. I don't remember exactly, but I got 2 wounds to cannon. At IF I lost remaining dices or was left with one and got dispelled.

At the end of magic phase Plague Wind got missfired and dissapated away.

At shooting I rolled 2 missfire with stalkers and luckily only got 2 wounds in. I managed to make 2 wounds on cannon still. Some of my archers had front arc to right side marauders and I killed 3. Too ba they passed panic.

Turn 2 - Warriors of Chaos

His Hellcannon failed ld test and was random movement babysitted by stalkers. Marauders with Wulfrik ambushed the scene and reformed. He moved better positions with his mages. The one on the right managed just barely slip past my lichpriest and horsemen unit. Those two horsemen really got nicely blocking my stalkers next turn shooting.

At Magic was pretty average, all though I managed to channel 2 dices.

- His sorcerer tried to cast stream of corruption to my archers (14 models would have been hitted) but I dispelled it.

- He tried to cast plague wind again, but didn't reach the casting requirement

Again arkhan managed to store 3 dices for next turn.

At shooting, he tried to shoot my Hierotitan, but it got scattered and just barely missed the scorpion. This was so close call, since my opponent throwed the dice in the middle board . We use laser pens to help get lines, but neither of us wasn't happy. Finally we had pythagoras theorem, 90 degree triangels and all short of shenanigas to judge this matter. My opponent didn't want to use 4+ method. After our conclusion tomb scorpion wasn't hitted by the template. He tried to use javelins to kill stalkers and casket with zero gain.

Turn 3 - Cursed Kings

My remaining EBtS arrived and pretty much in spots I wanted. I Moved Arkhan out of the skeleton warrior unit and reformed with them to horde formation. I did swift reform with archers and backd up with them a bit.

I got again cap, WoM was 4+4 with arkhans dices and casket I was capped.

- I casted 3 PD speed of light on skeleton warriors

- I casted 2 PD pha's Protection on skeleton warriors, my opponent tried to dispel this, but failed

- I casted 2 PD doom and darkness to Marauders and i got IF with Arkhan. It detonated and it just clipped my hierotitan and wiped the poor bastard from the table. Akrhan got wound also. I lost 2 dices

- I casted 1 PD spirit leech on wulfrik and my opponent dispelled it

- I casted 1 PD Cares of Laniph and managed to do 1 wound on Wulfrik

- I casted 1 PD and powerstone banishment on sorceror and killed the sorceror. (We rolled 3d6 hits since we both though it would be demonic target, but after the match I looked things up from WoC FAQ and realized that it was wrong. Still it was very likely that sorceror would have died anyway.

At shooting my archers killed two horsmen threatning my casket. My just arrived stalkers managed to do 4 wounds on hellcannon.

At close combat marauders managed to do 1 wound (killing the missfired stalker).

Turn analyze:

- This turn went pretty well. I casted smaller version of pha's protection. Well I used only 2 pd so I would have needed at least 7 with them (since 4+d3 ) cast. After seeing that both speed of light and pha's protection went to skeleton warriors there wouldn't be no problem leaving Arkhan in the unit.

Turn 3 - Warriors of Chaos

My opponent failed frenzy test and charged to skeletal warriors (he would probaly do it anyway, pretty much no other choices)

At magic was pretty average again

- He tried to cast miasma on skeleton warriors, but I dispelled it.

- He tried to cast plague wind, but natively failed it.

At shooting he scored direct hit to Arkhan and killed the lad. As direct result Casket blew up, and I received rather lot damage due crumble. Liche priest died also, alongs side with horsemen unit. Second shot was targeted over remaining lich priest but it got scattered away.

At close combat Wulfrik challenged my champion, and first time ever ( or at least in very long time) Underdog Challenge was witnessed when my Lightning speed champion nailed Wulfrik to the cross! My skeletons killed total 11 marauders and those poor marauders had hard time overcoming needing to hit of 6. As they had doom and darkness on they lost the combat and ran away. I actually realized one critical point here that they might have been steadfast... But if my memory serves me correct he rolled high on break test so even if steadfast that -3 LD would have nailed them anyway. I cathed the bastards. As result of breaking sorceror started to flee.

Turn 4 - Cursed Kings

Again crumble hitted me rather hard, dealing damage all over.

Magic was rather low was it 2 + 2, but luckily I got channels from arcane ruins.

- I tried to cast shems burning gaze with 1 PD from liche priest on sorceror but my opponent dispelled it.

- I casted 2 PD burning gaze from level 4 and it killed the sorceror. Again I rolled 2d6 hits as I though it was demon target.

- I casted banishment on the hellcannon that had only 2 stalkers on its back and killed it.

Stalkers managed to score remaining hellcannon.

Final Score was 2547 - 1143

Game analyze:

- That Arcane ruins really helped me alot. I managed to squeesh pretty much in every offinse and defence phase atleast 1 channel. Too bad my opponent placed his skull of katam sorceror on that flank. This game got me thinking about skeleton warriors as main combat block with spears, backed up by My Will Be Done. Only thing that they lack is str. I was very pleased on Arkhan and the light council. I got this little feeling about 7th edition Helf with banner of sorc and teclis, (well not that powerful) but it has similar ring to it when casket and Arkham was generating extra dices for offense. Hierotitan also worked like a charm. I wonder why an earth haven't I used him more often? Especially now when I got my epic self made titan! ;)
