Deployment

TERRAIN:

Terrain was randomized as BRB 8th page 142. Any magical monument was turned into impassable stone. Those terrain pieces are mounted on CD disk so we decided that they can be clipped for the sake of clarity. My opponent won the terrain placement order:

Terrain placement order:

- Settlement

- Stone

- Forest

- Stone

- Stone

- Stone

- Fence

DEPLOYMENT:

My opponent won table edge choice and I won first deployment roll

Deployment order was:

- Small Reavers

- Marauder horsemen (right)

- Silver Helms

- Marauder horsemen (left)

- Dragon Princes

- Chaos Chariot (on right)

- Frosthearth Phoenix

- Chaos Chariots (on left)

- Big Reaver unit

- Gorebeast chariots

- High Elf Characters

- Rest of the WoC

My Archmage generated 2,3,4 and 5 and I traded amber spear for wyssans. ( I though he would really play biggish unit of knights / warriors / trolls and considered that Curse would be much better againts them)

He had 5 wizards!

Fire wizard generated 1, 5, 5, 6 and ended up with Fireball, Cloak, Piercing bolt and Fulminating cage.

Undeah generated 1,2,3 and 4 and substiduted 1 to signature ( I don't know the spells names but he had something that howled, summoned infantry and summoned monsterous beasts)

Metal wizard generated 5 , 5 , 6 , 6. He ended up with Blades of Aiban, Searing Pain, Gehannas Golden Hounds and Final Transmutation

Death genereated 1 , 4 , 4 and had spirit leech, doom and darkness and purple sun

Nurgle generated 5 , 3 and traded 5 to signature.

-

I placed my bigger reaver unit to theoretical maximum of that right chariot. I won the first turn.

Turn 1 - High Elves

Magic 5+1 +1 PD +1 DD

- Wyssans to reavers 2 PD ( 11) dispelled

- Upgraded panss pelt 4 PD (18) succesfull (prince, archmage and noble gained bonus)

Turn 1 - Warriors of Chaos

Magic 4 + 5 +2 PD (katam)

- Purple sun 6 PD (22) failed to dispel. My opponent rolled missfire Some of his marauders died and he regained one Power Dice back.

- Fulminating cage to reavers 3 PD - failed to cast

- Undeath Signature medium level 3 PD - Failed to cast (I don't know the name of the spell)

Chariot overan.

Turn 2 - High Elves

I tried to charge the flank of gorebeast chariot with frost phoenix. Silverhelms couldn't do a charge due purple suns position. I took my reavers out of gorebeast chariots theoretical charge range.

Magic 5+2 +2 DD

- Panns pelt to archmage 2 PD - passed

- Wyssans on reavers 2 PD - Dispelled

I decided to seize magic here for not risking miscast.

Purple sun went trough both chariots, and when the other was destroyed marauders + death mage paniced and ran away from the Star dragon.

Turn 2 - Warriors of Chaos

Magic 6+3 +1 PD (Katam -2 LD)

- Fire Cloak 1 PD (8) success

- Medium Fireball to Noble 3 PD (16) succesfull

- Fulminating cage to noble 3 PD (11) Dispelled

- Undead medium signature 3 PD (IF) 15 skeleton archers were summoned. Magical feed back caused damage to each mage except death (including the "unkillable"

I don't remember correctly but with combination of fireball + archers + javelins Griffons wounds were reduced to 1.

My Star Dragon Prince were wounded to the last wound and I managed to do 1 wound. Luckily the disc fled of and I managed to restrain pursuit.

Turn 3 - High Elves

Magic 3+3 +1 DD

- Savage beast of horrorsto to prince 2 PD (12) succesfull

- Panns inpenetrable pelt to prince 2 PD (10) succesfull

- Wyssans on reavers 1 PD, dispelled

- Curse to fire lord or disc lord 1 PD, failed

I asked my opponent that are you not going to dispel beast horrors nor panns. He said no and when I was finished casting I asked why and he said that I was waiting for the buble spell ;) It was getting little late :P

At close combat Prince anhilated the beast chariot easily with 9 rerollable str 7 attacks.

Turn 3 - Warriors of Chaos

Magic 4+4 +2 PD (katam -2LD)

- Purple sun 6 PD ( IF ) , it went full 30 inch range hitting both Phoenix and Prince, but I passed each initiative test (including the dragons 2) Miscast was Magical feedback again and it did only wounds to death mage. Additonally it sucked all the dices off.

No damage on shooting

Chariot couldn't deal the last wound on prince and was brutally devastated before it could swing attacks.

Turn 4 - High Elves

Magic 5+5 +1 PD +2DD

- Wyssans to reavers 5 PD, succesfull

- Pans belt for prince 2 PD dispelled

- Curse of anhareir to death mage unit 4 PD , dispelled

Sadly my overrun with reavers weren't enough to reach the fire mage.

Turn 4 - Warriors of Chaos

Now there is something wrong with the phoenix placement. I cannot remember at all where it was.

Magic 6+6

- Purple sun 6 PD (really high roll something like 3 x 5, 2 x 4 and 6) I decided to risk it, he needed 8 or 10 to reach my star dragon and rolled missfire again, killed couple of his dudes and ended up panicing.) he got one dice back from the deaths

- Fulminating cage 3 PD - Dispelled

- Howdl 3 PD, dispelled

- UD sig 2 PD, natural failure

Turn 5 - High Elves

Reavers for the win!

Magic 4+4

- Dispelled cloak

- Curse of disc lord , dispelled

Turn 5 - Warriors of Chaos

Magic 6+6

- Fire cloak 2 PD successful

- Big fireball to prince 6 PD (IF) detonation and it caused zero wounds on dragon + prince only 1 dice was sucked out

- Fulminating flame cage to revers 3 PD, dispelled

Turn 6 - High Elves

His lord moved so that my star dragon prince couldn't charge. Noble failed the charge

Magic 1+3

- Fire cloak dispelled

My reaver champion accepted challenge and was killed, however I won the combat, but he holded. I reformed and due the restriction of reform and double movement the widest formation I could done was 7.

Turn 6 - Warriors of Chaos

Magic 4+2 +2PD (katam killed the sorceror due enough eaten LD)

- Fire cloak 2 PD (dispelled)

- Howl 3PD no damage

- UD monsterous beast summon 3 PD; dispelled.

At close combat my reavers broke the lord.

Final score was 2281 - 80
