- Jezzails

- Speraman

- Clanrats on left

- Flamespyre

- Rest of the Skaven

My Archmage has Fireball, The Burning Head, Piercing Bolts of Burning, Fulminating Flame Cage, Dragon mage has Fireball and flaming sword

My opponenst grey seer has vermin tide, Plague, Scorch and skitterleap, Plague Priest has Pestilent Breath and Cloud of Corruption and warlock has Warp Lighning and Death Frenzy.

My opponent won the first turn roll despite my +1

Turn 1 - Skaven

Ratogres tried long charge on reavers.

Magic: 4+2

- Warplightning to reavers 2 PD, kills 2, passed panic.

- Scorch 3 PD, Irrestible force. Placed right on phoenix guard and 7 of them died. As result of miscast all the wizards took str 6 hit. Grey seer and Warlock survived the blow without a wound.

At shooting Jezzails drop one reaver dead and low str lighning bolts kills another reaver, but passed panic test.

Turn 1 - High Elves

Sadly ellyrian reavers didn't have enough room to babysit the hellpit from the left side. That way I could have being protected against the ogre charge.

Magic 1+1

- Archmage casted Fireball 1 PD to bigger clanrat unit, my opponent dispelled it.

- Fury ring to C2 passed and killed 5 models. Panic passed.

At shooting I landed wound on rat ogres, and couple more to C2

Turn 2 - Skaven

Plague monks passed frenzy test.

Magic 3+2 + 1 Dispel dice

- Warplightning to reavers 2 PD, killed both of them

- Plague on silverhelms 3PD, dispelled

At shooting both poison mortars missed and lighning bolt killed two clan rats.

Rat ogres naturally nailed the reavers, but with little longer overrun they would have ended up babysitting HPA again.

----

Here was one mistake that we had impression that jezzail were skirmishers. Luckily this didn't play any part in the game eventhough he moved them away.

Turn 2 - High Elves

No damage to shadow warriors on stand and shoot. I used flamephoenix driveby attack to plague monks.

Magic 4+1 , +1 PD and +2 DD

- Fireball to plague monks 1 PD, my opponent dispelled with 2 DD

- Flaming sword of rhuin to PG 1 PD, my opponent dispelled it with 2 DD

- Fireball to Rat ogres 1 PD, it did 1 wound and killed one ogre.

- Fulmunating cage 2 PD, irrestible force, Dimensional cascade took 12 archers and sucked my Archmage to oblivion.

At close combat my Shadow warriors only managed to kill one jezzail and in return jezzails managed to finish two warriors down ending the battle in draw. At the Clanrat 1 combat only 1 Phoenix guard and silverhelm died. I killed something like 10 rats and one wound to grey seer.

Turn analyze:

- I think I made the biggest mistake in this game by charging those silverhelms with that awful clipping charge to the clan rat 1 battle. At the given time I could have charged to C2, overran in to the weaponteam (providing that it wouldn't paniced) and mostlikely ended up reforming in the skaven player turn. to get nice flank charge to the clanrat unit on the next turn. I didn't see this option during the game. I was firstly going to use my dragon mage to charge in to the unit (cause possible terror test) but I needed 8 and I didn't want to risk it so that HPA would get me thus ended up baby sitting HPA with my dragon mage.

- I personally loved the situation where the phoenix was redirecting that big block of monks. They had fulminating cage on. On failed charge tons of monks would have died, my phoenix would have died mostlikely but it might have doing decent template damage on the monks as they would have firstly overran to building, It looked that my spearmen would have gained a flank charge to them and the phoenix template would have being nicely away from the spearmen.

Turn 3 - Skaven

Unfortunately his Plague monks passed frenzy test. We had to make a 4+ roll that could the C3 charge phoenix flank, but ended up in my favor.

Magic: 5+4 + 1PD

- Warplighning to phoenix 2PD, did 1 wound.

- Cloud of Corruption 3 PD, dispelled

- Vermintide 2 PD, didn't do wounds

- Plague 3 PD to the big close combat! I could have dispel scrolled this, but it was too juicy and I though that due my ward save this spell might be better from my perspective. I ended up losing 6 out of 9 silverhelms and 7 out of 13 phoenix guards. My opponent rolled exactly 1 half rats away from both of his units. Then he rolled 1 and I placed the plague on the poison wind mortar that is closer to jezzails. it didn't wound, then my opponent rolled again 1 and I bounced it to another mortar and it died. Then it stopped.

At close combat I challenged with my champion and his warlord took it. I managed to wound the lord, and he killed my champion without any overkills. rest of his rats failed miserably to do any significant damage. I won the combat but unfortunately he was steadfast. Should I killed one more clanrat he would have broken of.

At this moment my opponent was in a rush to leave as our game (allthough in turn 3) was taking much longer than anticipated. We concluded the game at this moment. It was hard to say who would have won, as I had decent chance using flamespyre for nice flank charge in to the mother unit where the warlord. Warlord had only one wound left and I had my noble, one silverhelm and 1 PG that could have hitted him. With anyluck I might have broken the rats off, and managed to get out of harms way with the silverhelms or used spearmen to block monks allthough pointwise that would have being poor choice. Allthough we made decidison that building are impassable in another game my spearmen would have being nicely protected in the building. Anyhow we had tons of fun in the game and I liked to try a diffirent things that I wouldn't never consider doing. Dragon mage is a unit that is just so poorly ruled. Why couldn't the dragon mage be more noble statlined.

Score at the time we ended was 0 - 545
