Deployment

I won table edge, he won first pick. Deployment order

- ungor raiders

- White lions

- Gor herd (right)

- Ellyerian reavers on left

- Tuskor chariot

- Ellyrian reavers

- Cygor

- Silver helms

- Cygor

- Phoenix guard

- Gor herd

- Archers

- Tuskor Chariot

- Frost hearth phoenix

- Character (he forgot to place harpies) HIs Shadow shaman had Miasma and Enfeeble foe and beast had Wyssans and amber.

- Characters. My level 4 got Drain Magi, Apotheosis, Hand of Glory, Fiery Convocation.

Turn 1 - High Elves

I used Ellyrian reaver to scout fungus forest and boiing flood.

Magic: 2+3 + 1 DD

Sorcerous potal casted plague of rust to my reavers

- Apotheosis 1 PD, passed

- Drain magic 1 PD, passed

- Hand of Glory (upgraded) 2 pd, Irrestible force -> dimensional cascade. 2 Dead lions and mage survived

Shooting resulted one wound on cygor.

Turn 1 - Beastmen

Tactical flee with reavers resulted one death by dangerous terrain. He redirected long charge to silverhelms.

Magic: 5+1

Sorcerous portal casted wyssans to my reavers

- Wyssans 2 PD failed to cast

- Miasma against Phoenix guard 2 PD, natural failure.

Both cygors missed. Ungor raiders killed 2 archers.

Close combat, only two death by impact hits and silver helms managed to deal two wounds on chariot. I holded the break test and reformed from lose to get extra attack from horse.

Turn 2 - High Elves

Reavers failed to rally. There was nice cap between the cygors and gor herd for those reavers to go by.

Magic 6+3

Plague of rust to silverhelms

- Drain magic 2 pd, pass

- Hand of glory upgraded 2 pd ( to phoenix guard), dispelled on 4 DD

- Fiery convocation 5 PD, failed to dispel. Total 15 gor + one wound on bray shaman dealt. No panic.

Combined shooting with archers and reavers did another wound on cygor.

At close combat tuskor chariot managed to break silver helms with 1 wound, but failed to catch them. I did enourmous ammount of damage to gor herd and saved tons of wounds coming back. I lost my BSB and 2 phoenix guardians. Too bad he was steadfast, couple more kills and it wouldn't be so. White lions made probaly the worst possible strike against harpies. still broke them. lions restrained the battle.

Turn 2 - Beastmen

Tuskor chariot managed to bounce silverhelms of board as well reavers.

Magic: 4+3 + PD

Plague of rust to chariot

- Wyssans 3PD to Gor herd. Dispelled with 3 dices

- Miasma 3 PD to phoenix guard. -3 WS

- Enfeeble foe 2 PD to Frosthearth. -3S

No dispel attempt on convocation. it nailed another 10 models.

One archer died in shooting of ungors. Other ungor raiders managed to panic reavers.

Due floppy str 3 frostie and ws 2 phoenix guards my out put was really weak. I still managed to get more than average saves with phoenix guards. I lost the combat by 1 (I realized afterwards that I had bought War Banner so this battle would have being really Draw). My frostie broke the combat.

Turn 3 - High Elves

Charges pretty much as seen. Reaver didn't rally and fled to the worst possible position. Phoenix rallied.

Magic: 1+3

Plague of rust to tuskor chariot

- Drain magic 2 PD. Passed (dispelled miasma, enfeeble foe and fiery convocation)

- Hand of glory to phoenix guard 2 PD, opponent failed to dispel. increased WS by 3

My archers did 1 damaged to cygor. 2 more wounds left.

At close combat white lions nailed 3 daamge to chariot and tons for gor herd. they had to test double 1 to pass break test and broke down. unfortunately I didn't catch it with neither unit. on bright side BSB died.

Turn 3 - Beastmen

There has to be some error with the Tuskor Chariot, as this turn he tried to charge phoenix with ungors and chariots.... Chariot and Gor herd rallied.

Magic: 5+3+PD

Again plague of rust to chariot. Now the chariot was stripped of armor saves.

- Miasma 3 PD on PG, passed (high roll)

- Wyssans 3 PD on gor herd. Passed

- Amber spear to frost phoenix 3 PD dispelled.

At shooting he managed finally to do something with cygors and they killed on PG. Ungors killed two archers.

Turn 4 - High Elves

Those goddamn reavers rallied. I swift reformed with phoenix guards and moved so that my phoenix managed to fly to block gor herd charge to phoenix guards.

Magic: 3+3

Wyssans on chariot

- Apotheosis on archmage 2 PD, healed wound

- Draing magic 2 PD, passed

- Hand of glory on phownix guard 2 PD, opponent failed to dispel.

At shooting my Archers did two last wounds on cygor. Ungor paniced due that.

Turn 4 - Beastmen

Harpies ran off board. Ungors rallied. That chariot had nice little darn way to slip past to my phoenix flank. ( I could have prevented flank charge with little different and probably make the actual charge impossible, because of the reavers.)

Magic: 6+2

Soulblight on Ungor Herd (YEAH!)

- Enfeeble foe 3 PD, dispelled 2 DD

- Wyssans 3 PD, dispelled 3 DD

- Miasma 2 PD, dispelled 1 DD

Aat shooting cygor missfired and wounded him self.

At close combat, impact hits wounded 2 times the phoenix. At first this combat looked really nice when both of my opponent unit failed fear test. I failed miserably with phoenix and if my memory serves me right I did total 2 wound (including stomps) My phownix was caught. Gor Herd overran to my phoenix guard rear and the tuskor chariot managed to go past from white lions front arc.

Turn 5 - High Elves

I must have forgotten something as this moment I had only one reaver. I moved it to baby sit the chariot. I swift reformed with archers and failed the ld test. I swift reformed with white lions.

Magic: 4+2 + 1DD

Fireball to chariot

- Drain magic 2 PD, passed

- Hand of glory 2 PD (to phoenix guard) failed to dispell. increased ws by 2.

- Apotheosis 2 pd, passed.

At close combat My phownix guard did almost the impossible by fearing the ungor herd.. They made three wounds. and received 2. As I had banner and warbanner and 3 wounds, I had 5, my opponent had rear, banner, rank and 2 wounds. I broke the combat by rolling exactly 9 =(. He caught me.

Turn 5 - Beastmen

He moved to safety of house and placed the other ungor herd so that I couldn't overrun to the house.

Magic: 4+3 + 1PD

Wyssans to reaver

- miasma 4 PD Upgraded, natural failure

- Amber spear 4 PD, dispelled

At shooting he... killed archers? perhaps. cygor didn't do anything.

Turn 6 - High Elves

I swift reformed with archers to get more points from bray shaman. passed LD test

Magic: 6+1

Soulblight to tuskor chariot

-Drain mag 2 pd

- Apotheosis 2 pd

- Hand of glory 3 pd dispelled (tried to increase reavers ballistic ;) )

At shooting reaver failed to deliver wound to shaman, but my archers did.

Turn 6 - Beastmen

Magic: 2+2+1PD+1DD

Soulblight on gor herd

- Amber spear 5 PD reavers, failed to dispel. they died.

Ungor raiders shot archers and managed to cause panic in them.

Game ended as draw 1277 - 1202
